El Capitan and the Merced River

We spent this past weekend in Yosemite and the river certainly didn’t flow like it did back in May when this picture was taken. The Merced was mostly idle and rather shallow. The only waterfall that showed even a wisp of water was Bridalveil Falls (see previous image).
Up near Glacier Point there was no sign of moisture at all, but up in Tuolumne Meadows where we spent most of our time it was business as usual. Water was streaming down the rocks near Tuolumne Meadows Lodge flowing on to the Tuolumne River. Tenaya Lake, and the many other lakes we saw for that matter were full and clear.
Overall the weekend was fantastic even though my car still smells like the Mono Lake muck I covered the inside of it with.
